She has worked with employees of well-known organizations including Raytheon, Microsoft, NASA, Hughes Aerospace, PG&E, California Polytechnic State University, Nordstrom, to name just a few.   • Fostering a major culture change for County Government, incorporating a strategic planning, goal setting, and results-based decision-making process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability. 

  • Partnering with an Employee Advisory Council to design and implement an in-house Employee University to deliver customized training to over 3,000 employees to enhance management/supervisory skills, build strong teams, and support individual skill development, resulting in a significant return on investment, based upon the impact of training on business results.

  • Designing and implementing in-placement and out-placement career centers for 1,300 employees of a nuclear power plant, focusing on career planning, reemployment, entrepreneurial/business development, skills assessment, effective job search strategies, resume writing, and interviewing and negotiating skills.     

  • Facilitating a planning process with multi-lingual, multi-cultural neighborhood teams to design and implement programs to support children, ages 0-5, in developing the skills required for school readiness.

  • Serving as a coach to support governmental agencies in changing their relationship with community-based organizations to enhance grass-roots community building and design programs to meet unmet community needs.

Susan provides consulting, facilitation, training, speaking, or coaching services, specializing in career and organizational development.  She designs custom programs to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance and ensure a return on investment.  Her programs address 4 levels of effectiveness: Organizational, managerial/leadership, interpersonal/team, and personal effectiveness.

When working with a client organization, Susan:

  • Conducts a thorough needs assessment (i.e., key employee interviews, surveys, focus groups, research, etc.) to identify the business results to be achieved.

  • Identifies the desired "ideal" outcome(s) from the process.

  • Determines barriers to achieving the "ideal" outcome(s). 

  • Designs custom intervention(s) to meet the unique needs of the group, which could include: strategic visioning, planning, goal setting, metrics, performance evaluation, custom designed employee development programs, "off the shelf" training, style assessments, performance coaching, or group process facilitation.

  • Implements the custom-designed intervention(s).

  • Determines the results of the process.

In addition to providing custom interventions and services, Susan is a distributor for training curriculum for organizations who want to deliver the programs with their in-house training staff.  The products (facilitator guides, assessment tools, and participant workbooks) can be ordered by email or telephone and are delivered by U.S. mail, UPS, or FedEx. 

Individuals or organizations are welcome to purchase downloadable workbooks and booklets online (via secured credit card transaction) on a variety of professional development topics.

 Susan's Background:

Susan has over 20 years of experience as a consultant, facilitator, trainer, and speaker specializing in career and organizational development, change management, and strategic planning. After being based in the central coast of California for many years, she has recently relocated back to Michigan, where she originally grew up. Susan has traveled throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada influencing over 25,000 people to proactively embrace change. In addition to her consulting practice, Susan founded Women of Vision in 1991 to support the career and business success of women.
