Light My Fire! Igniting Passion for the
Future!©
(Personal Strategic
Planning within the Organization)
In the 21st century, we face extraordinary change
on a regular basis, both personally and professionally.
For many of us, change often seems externally
imposed, rather than self-directed and our response to
change is reactionary, rather than proactive. Motivated and
productive employees in this challenging environment are
those individuals who take the initiative to design a career
development plan and proactively manage their own career.
This
one-day (6-hour) program provides an opportunity for
self-reflection, personal planning, and group discussion.
It’s a day to explore your thoughts, feelings, and
ideas about your job, career, professional growth, and goals
for the future. It provides a framework for designing a
short and long-term career plan which will stimulate your
creativity, enhance your job satisfaction, rekindle your
enthusiasm, and renew your career vitality.
In
this program, you will:
-
Discuss techniques to manage change effectively.
-
Create a personal profile of interests, skills, and
values.
-
Assess your work style and lifestyle preferences
based upon your
personal responses to the Meyers Briggs
style indicator.
-
Identify
customers served and the services you provide.
-
Define
a personal mission.
-
Understand how to design and implement short and
long-term career plans.
-
Evaluate the “fit” of your current job and
explore strategies to enhance job satisfaction.
-
Discuss options to enhance skills, maximize
strengths, and foster
professional growth.
-
Explore opportunities to utilize effective
self-promotion strategies to increase your visibility in a positive
manner throughout the
organization.
In
addition to a full-day format (maximum of 30 participants), this program can be tailored
for a keynote presentation
(unlimited number of audience participants) or a half-day program, depending
upon the needs of the audience.
