Creating Dynamic Multimedia Presentations

PowerPoint and other presentation software tools are powerful when used effectively! However, poor visual design is worse than no visuals at all! In this program, you will learn visual design tips and tricks so that your presentation materials effectively support the delivery of your message.

This program, designed and delivered by Susan McGraw, is offered in a 3-hour or 6-hour format. The 3-hour format focuses on visual design. The 6-hour program includes step-by-step PowerPoint techniques.

You will learn how to:

Plan your presentation based upon an audience analysis.
Utilize effective presentation design techniques (guidelines for text style and size, layout, placement, and incorporation of graphic elements).
Create a presentation in 10 minutes!
Use design templates with your own content.
Create unique presentations (the impact of color, using drawing tools to create dimension, and creating background elements, watermarks, logos, etc.).
Insert objects (modifying graphics and clipart, altering photographs, creating special effects with WordArt, and incorporating sound, music, and video).
Create interactive presentations (branching to other slides and other presentations).
Use animation effects in an impactful way.
Automate presentations.
Use PowerPoint for other types of design projects (flyers, announcements, brochures, etc.).
